I’m excited to say I’ve been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award!!

My special thanks to Touchlineviews who nominated me. I’m honoured to be nominated by such amazing bloggers!

Thank you to Nominator

If you don’t know Touchlineviews, they’re two football fanatics who created a blog they share with other football fanatics… Cool, right?! Please check them out here Touchlineviews.

Now to my speech… *clear throat* “Friends, Romans, Countrymen, I’d like to thank….” Hahaha, just kidding! I’ve always wanted to do that! In fact, I’ve always wanted to be nominated for something else other than being on a committee or something, you know what I mean?! So to say I was stocked to be nominated is an understatement! I’m thrilled especially given it’s something I’m passionate about. To be recognised for it is just icing on cake.

As part of my acceptance, I’m supposed to answer a coupla questions so here they are:

How did TeeShares start?

Well, TeeShares started around 6 months ago. I’ve always been one of those girls who kept a diary at school so my love for writing was always fulfilled. As an adult (working adult), I’ve wanted to write but had no time really. When i finally got some spare time during the Dec16/Jan17 period, I made it my mission to build this site so I can share anything I can think of. Hence the name TeeShares – it’s all about Tee (me) sharing. Not a fancy name for a blog, I know. But it’s working so far, lol!

My Advice to new bloggers

  • Stay true to who you are and your passion
  • Connect with other Bloggers – the blogging world is huge and while you may know what you want to do, connecting with other bloggers is a great way of making friends and learning new things.

MY NOMINEES!

Now to the other fun part – I get to pick 15 other bloggers. Yay!

Well, actually, this is a hard one coz there’re so many great bloggers out there BUT since I have to stick to a few, I’ll pick the sites I’ve recently visited or have followed a while. These bloggers inspire not only me, but they reach out to many with their work. So without wasting your time, here’re my nominations:

Beauty and Fashion

Style and Life By Susana – Susana takes us on a journey from Fashion (her personal style), Beauty & skin care tips, pop culture to some personal stuff. I for one appreciate the rawness of her personal posts and I’d say this is one of the sites I visit regularly.

The Golden Perspective – An all-round fashion and lifestyle blog run solely by Naomi. She also uses this as an electronic diary for her thoughts so there’s some interesting stuff to read.

The Kingdom Style – Fashion, Art, Beauty and Travel, Mariana covers it all for you.

Parenting

Mommy’s Timeline – I love reading their blogs on motherhood/mom life! Not only does this blog cover parenting stuff, but they go as far as beauty, health & fitness, and lifestyle.

Biracial Bookworms – The goal of this blog is to empower and arm families and teachers with the tools to give children the world through reading, traveling, and learning languages!

Travel

The Wandering Darlings – The Wandering Darlings love travelling, adventures and general wandering. Their blog features a combination of travel ideas, stories, challenges of living abroad, pictures of where they’ve been or are going to, some tips and ideas.

Food / Nutrition / Recipes

FitSlowCookerQueen Shannon is a home cook.  She loves to develop her own recipes and showing people healthy cooking can taste good.  I’m always pinning her recipes.

The Urben Life – dairy-free and egg-free? Yep, the Urbens have got you covered! Wedding planning tips, travel guides – Jenna has them for you.

Our Cookery Ant shares some very interesting recipes and some tips around travelling with toddlers – just the info I’m into at the moment!

Sweet Coralice – Cupcakes, Cakes, Sugar Cookies, you name it, Cori bakes them all AND she shares her recipes on this page.

Lifestyle

Nomad Weekends – Thierry provides some tips and tricks for everyday life which can help you save money. She also owns a digital Amazon store selling miscellaneous items.

The Natural Babe – Sam is passionate about non-toxic living so her blog focuses on DIYs, natural living challenges and tips for living non-toxic ON A BUDGET!

Waves and willows – This is a Lifestyle blog created with Jen’s passion to bring happiness, good vibes and beauty to the world. So she shares her newest and coolest discoveries.

Self-improvement and Other

The Happy Spoony Project – The project is Lianne’s project focussed on finding ways to get the most out of life while being young and chronically ill. Her blog covers health, happiness, books and yarn-related crafting!

Thawing Out – Anna takes you on a journey of exploring trauma issues, spirituality, and other light. I’m working through her posts in my own time and asking myself some questions as I go along.

And, that’s it!

Congratulations bloggers! Keep up the good work!

Now BLOGGERS, before you collect your trophies (… ummm, virtual trophies), there’s just a few simple rules to follow:

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you (that’s me of course), and provide a link to their blog
  2. Write a blog post about the award – easy peasy!
  3. Answer the 2 questions I answered above, i.e
    • Tell us how your blog started
    • Provide at least two pieces of advice to new bloggers
  4. And finally, pick your own 15 bloggers to nominate! You must comment on their blogs letting them know they have been nominated for this award, AND provide them with a link to your post.

Easy right? Let’s do it guys!

Readers, thanks so much for reading. If you want to find out more about this Award in general, please follow this link.

Please share your comments/thoughts with me below. Would love to know what you think about these blogs.
